Northern Idaho is home to breathtaking scenery, and there are countless destinations you can visit that’ll surround you with Mother Nature’s Beauty.

  • Found only about 20 minutes away from our Sandpoint resort, Round Lake State Park is known for its natural beauty. Found along the state’s northern panhandle, this Idaho state park is located along the edge of a 58-acre lake.  While here, go fishing, hiking, or kayaking.
  • The Riley Creek Recreation Area in nearby Laclede is located along the shores of the Pend Oreille River. It is an excellent spot for walking, boating, biking, and swimming. There are also plenty of spots to enjoy a picnic.
  • Nestled among towering firs and pines is Springy Point. Spend your visit fishing, boating, picnicking, and swimming. This park also offers incredible views of the Selkirk and Cabinet mountains.
  • A popular natural attraction to visit is Sam Owen, which is part of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests. The park’s half-mile trail takes hikers to a picturesque vista of Owens Bay.
  • For a fun day trip, plan a visit to Farragut State Park. Once a World War II-era naval training station, it is now home to a seemingly endless amount of things to do. Visit the Museum at the Brig or enjoy the numerous outdoor activities like disc golf, hiking, and fishing.
